Chinese doctors' perspectives in managing antibiotic prescribing: a qualitative study

Introduction: Acute lower respiratory tract infections when pneumonia is not suspected (ALRTIs) is one of the conditions for which antibiotics are most overused. We previously showed that 45.8% of outpatients with ALRTIs presenting to a tertiary hospital in China received antibiotic prescriptions.
