Pelargonium sidoides root extract, for the treatment of acute bronchitis in adults: feasibility RCT

Background: Most patients presenting to GPs with acute bronchitis continue to receive antibiotics, although these do not have a significant benefit. There is some evidence that Pelargonium sidoides root extract can relieve symptoms of acute bronchitis. We aimed to assess the feasibility of conducting a double blind randomised controlled trial of Pelargonium sidoides root extract for acute bronchitis in UK primary care.
