Sustainably Healthy, Active & Veggy. Prevalence of vegetarians and vegans in Austrian pupils, teachers of secondary level

Introduction:  30 % of Austrian children are overweight and 85 % fail to achieve the recommended 60 min/day of exercise. 10 % of Austrians eat vegetarian/vegan. However, there is no information about the trends on plant-based diets at schools. Funded by the Tiroler Wissenschaftsf'rderung, this study is the first to map the prevalence of vegan, vegetarian and omnivores among Austrian pupils and teachers of secondary level. The study is funded by the Tiroler Wissenschaftsf'rderung.
