Treatment of cancer-related fatigue with mistletoe extracts: A systematic review and meta-analysis

Introduction: Extracts of European mistletoe (Viscum album L.) are routinely used in integrative cancer care. Several clinical investigations have reported positive effects of mistletoe extracts on cancer-related fatigue (CRF), but no meta-analysis has evaluated all the available clinical data yet. The aim of the current study is to conduct a quantitative meta-analysis to estimate the pooled effect size of mistletoe extracts in CRF-treatment.

Keywords: Cancer-related fatigue, mistletoe therapy, Viscum album, quality of life, cancer, meta-analysis
