Attitudes towards medical cannabis among Ontario family physicians: A qualitative interview study

Introduction: Medical cannabis has been legally available in Canada, for select conditions, since 2001. In 2019, there were 370,000 Canadians authorized to use medicinal cannabis; however, physicians receive no formal training regarding the therapeutic use of cannabis during their undergraduate training or residency. This study explores the attitudes of family physicians licensed to practice in Ontario, Canada towards medicinal cannabis.
