Dr Brenda Leung
Associate Professor, University of Lethbridge, Canada
Dr. Leung is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Lethbridge. She currently holds the (endowed) Emmy Droog Chair in Complementary and Alternative Healthcare. Her research in maternal mental health and child development includes nutritional treatments for children with ADHD, metabolomics profiling of metabolic function in pregnant women, mental healthcare needs of children in Alberta, and nutrient status of women with gestational diabetes and perinatal depression. She's been an investigator on studies ranging from a longitudinal pregnancy cohort study to a clinical trial of multi-ingredient product for ADHD. She works with researchers, practitioners and community members to explore innovative methods in the study of nonpharmacetical therapies for chronic disease.
