Christina Elugbaju is a medical student currently studying at the University of Southampton and entering her penultimate year. She has always had a passion for integrative medicine and intends to use her perspective as a patient, carer and now healthcare professional to curate and further research into holistic and lifestyle medicine. Christina has a vested interest in global health which prompted her research into Diabetes and Complementary & Alternative Medicine (CAM). Aside from her work within the field of CAM, Christina is currently working as an intern for the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) investigating the impact of death reviews on maternal, child and perinatal mortality. She is also an ambassador and mentor for the African Caribbean Medical Organisation (UK) and delivers various outreach talks across London with a focus on integrative medicine.
Christina’s personal interests include entrepreneurship, real estate, and event planning. She’s hoping to combine her interests and utilise these skills professionally. She also enjoys horse riding, exploring gourmet restaurants, travelling, and using social media to host international discussions regarding world affairs and social inequities.
